SEALING UNIT Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC B64C1/14 B60J10/00 E06B7/22 

FIELD: sealing units for doors, covers, hatches and compartments of transport facilities; aircraft manufacture; shipbuilding.

SUBSTANCE: proposed sealing unit has U-shaped sealing profile 2 secured in groove of framing 3 by means of elastic spacer plate 13 and cord 12. Sealing profile has convex upper part of varying rigidity and thickness in section with two lugs 6 and 7 and two fins 8 and 9. Groove of framing is provided with slots for lugs and with widening compensating bevels 11. End faces of sealing profile are made at acute angle forming inclined surface of joint at conjugation, thus providing for tightness of closed contour.

EFFECT: facilitated mounting and dismantling; enhanced tightness.
