FIELD: petroleum processing.
SUBSTANCE: light petroleum fuel designed for use in medium-speed diesel engines of marine power installations contains, wt %: mazut 4-10, goudron 2-10, light catalytic cracking gas oil 10-30, heavy catalytic cracking gas oil 5-10, straight-run diesel fuel 8-10, and visbreaking heavy petroleum fraction to 100%. In specific instances, fuel may contain up to 5 wt % light coker gas oil and 0.01-0.1 wt % ethylene/vinyl acetate-based depressant. Properly selected proportions of components will allow stability of the fuel to be raised.
EFFECT: increased stability of fuel and increased production of high-quality fuels due to efficiently used low-grade products available in refineries.
