FIELD: material technology, possibly deposition of electroplated fractional coatings featured by higher hardness and decorative properties.
SUBSTANCE: process comprises steps of preliminarily treating surface of part for imparting roughness to it in range 40 - 400 micrometers, cathode deposition of iron for 22 - 25 h with use of electrolyte containing, g/l: FeCl2, 400; H2SO4, 0.8 - 1; KJ, 5 - 10.
EFFECT: increased hardness, wear resistance, improved decorative properties of coating.
