FIELD: drinking table ware such as crystal glasses and tall wine glasses, and also flower bases, water-bottles, decanters etc.

SUBSTANCE: method involves illuminating transparent reservoir having base and wall by initially illuminating wall through base so that angle of incidence of radiation onto wall is smaller than angle of full inner reflection for enabling full inner reflection of light. Transparent reservoir has base and wall. Illumination unit is positioned under base and is optically connected to base and wall. Leg additionally arranged between base and wall is made so that light undergoes full inner reflection owing to creation of angle of incidence of radiation which is smaller than angle of inner reflection. Illumination unit has casing incorporating at least one luminous member designed so that radiation intensity is altered with time. Illumination unit has power source, light reflector, microprocessor for controlling operational mode of photodiodes, and sensor for switching on and off of photodiodes.

EFFECT: increased efficiency by providing spreading of light through reservoir wall and leg to impart wall and leg coloring effect.
