FIELD: agriculture; electric safety.

SUBSTANCE: device for detection of maximal potential difference at stock-rearing farms has ac voltmeter which is capable of measuring and memorizing potential difference for a long time. Shunt is connected to terminals of voltmeter. Shunt is made in form of non-linear member of electric circuit, preferably in form of parallel-series connection of varistors and resistors. Shunt simulates resistance of animal's body. Device also has two metal electrodes. One electrode has to be structure of cow stall and the other one is made of two round metal plates, connected electrically together. Distance from front part of stall to center of first plate equals to 0,2-0,3 m, and distance between centers of first and second plate equals to 1,6-1,8 m. For pig stall the same distances are equal to 0,1-0,2 and 0,9-1,1 m correspondingly. Plates are made of sheet steel with thickness of 2,5-3,0 m and they have diameters within 3,4-4,0 m. They are located on surface of concrete floor. Any plate has its center attached to surface of floor by means of mounting gun by steel nail with thickness of 3,5-4,0 cm.

EFFECT: reduced labor input; preservation of all useful properties of testing device.
