FIELD: step rolling processes and equipment.

SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of deforming blank at forward and backward strokes; moving blank before its forward stroke to side of ready shape and during backward stroke moving blank to side of initial blank. Blank motion during end phase of its backward stroke is normalized with use of mathematical relation. Invention provides enhanced quality of tubes due to creating in deformation zone conditions preventing possibility of blank slipping and of forming corrugations during process for rolling thin-wall tubes.

EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of manufacturing equipment, improved quality of ready product such as thin-wall tubes.
