FIELD: production of cast products.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of layer-wise pouring to casting mold preliminarily heated fillers, at first main filler and then coarse-fraction filler. Size of fraction of filler is determined according to given expression dip < 10σ cosθ/ρgh where ρ -density of melt, kg/m3; g - gravity acceleration, m/s2; h - height of melt heel over layer of filler, m; σ -surface tension of melt, N/m2; θ - angle of wetting filler by means of melt,(degree). Sum of thickness values of filler layers is equal to real height of casting. After pouring mold by means of vacuum suction and after solidification of cast piece, fillers are removed. Application of large size fraction filler allows produce castings without gaseous bubbles combining porous and monolithic portions.
EFFECT: improved quality of porous castings.
