UNIVERSAL CAR CARRIER Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC B60P3/08 

FIELD: transport engineering.

SUBSTANCE: proposed universal car carrier has frame 1 made in form of transformable lower tier 2 and upper tier 3, running gear 4, detachable entrance tracks 5 and hydraulic equipment system 6. Lower tier 2 has two sidemembers 7 connected by arch and cross beams 9 for floor with guide tracks. Boxes 12 for detachable entrance tracks 5 installed in fastening units on rear cross beam are arranged under floor in the rear. Additional entrance tracks 13 of loading position of overbolster part are installed on floor of lower tier. Upper tier 3 consists of two movable platforms 14, 15 with guide tracks 11. First movable platform 14 is suspended from cross beam in overbolster part for lifting and fixing by means of hydraulic equipment system 6. Second movable platform 15 consists of main part 17 and cantilever part 18 hinge-coupled with guide tracks 11. Main part 17 is installed by its front side in guides 20 of arch 8 for movement. Cantilever part 18 of second platform 15 is made to follow slope of lower tier 2, being furnished with telescopic tie-rod 26 for additional fixing of traveling position.

EFFECT: provision of quick transformation of vehicle trailer, improved safety in operation.
