FIELD: heat exchange equipment, in particular, heat exchange equipment operating to the principle of the non-rotating regenerative heat exchanger, applicable for heating or cooling of gases both at their alternate unidirectional motion, and as accumulators of heat or cold and their release whenever necessary.
SUBSTANCE: the heat exchanger has a vertically arranged heat-insulated body with the upper and lower bottoms, it is filled with a heat-cold accumulating material of a ball or granular shape of a variable diameter, with a feeding and an exhaust devices located in its main part, and cylindrical partitions made concentrically with the body and forming circular ducts between each other and the body over the entire height of the heat exchanger, connecting ports are made at their inlet and outlet forming a single through duct for passage of the heat-transfer agents from the feeding device to the exhaust one. The feeding and exhaust devices are installed inside the body over the entire height of the heat exchanger, enveloped by an accumulating material and representing distribution and condensing headers for the gaseous fluid, their lateral walls are partially perforated by holes of a variable diameter. The connecting ports in the partitions are so made that the outlet port located at the end of the previous duct simultaneously serves as the inlet port and the beginning of the next duct. A duct is formed in the main part of the accumulating material for flow of the working medium, this duct connects in succession the feeding device located in the center through the connecting ports with circular ducts formed by the cylindrical partition to the exhaust device.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency at a simpler and compact construction.
