FIELD: means for monitoring of parameters of radio engineering systems, applicable at monitoring of an airborne radar installed on an aircraft-interceptor at a change-over of the radar from the forward view mode to the target lock-on mode.
SUBSTANCE: the goal to be sought is achieved by the fact that before the beginning of radiation of the monitoring signal in the direction of the radar the mirror of the antenna under monitoring is fixed in the azimuth and tilt axes, in the radar lock-on mode the attitude of the mirror of its antenna is determined by read-out of information from the sensors of the angle of turn in the azimuth and lilt axes, the attitude of the radar antenna mirror is compared with the attitude of the mirror of the antenna being monitored in the azimuth and tilt axes and a decision is taken on a stable target lock-on if the result of comparison in the absolute value is within zero to 0.2 of the radar antenna pattern width.
EFFECT: provided determination of a stable target lock-on by the airborne radar.
