SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to means of controlling parametres of radio engineering devices and can be used in controlling an aircraft radar set, fitted on an interception aeroplane, when the radar set switches from the forward hemisphere viewing mode to target lock-on mode. Technical outcome is achieved due to that, in the process of switching the radar set from viewing mode to lock-on mode, the angular position of the antenna is recorded n times on the azimuth and inclination axes. The obtained information is processed and then used to determine angular deviation of the antenna reflector from the direction of the control antenna, simulating the signal reflected from the target. There is stable lock-on if the maximum absolute values of deviation on the azimuth and inclination do not exceed a value between 0 and 0.2 of the antenna beam width of the radar set.

EFFECT: design of a method for controlling a radar set, fitted on an interception aeroplane during its flight testing in aerodrome conditions.
