FIELD: powder metallurgy, namely burden compositions for producing porous permeable materials by method of self-propagating high-temperature synthesis, possibly manufacture of filters, catalyst carriers.
SUBSTANCE: burden contains, mass. % : iron scale, 45 - 47; alumina, 33 - 35; silico-barium master alloy, 1 - 5; aluminum, the balance.
EFFECT: increased strength of porous material, improved resistance against dynamic and static loads of articles, lowered material consumption, enlarged using range.
