FIELD: mechanical engineering; engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to crankcase ventilation systems of turbocharged internal combustion engines used in passenger cars and light trucks. According to invention, housing of oil separator is made integral with engine valve cover, oil baffle in form of semispherical plate is made in upper central part of housing and side clearance is formed between oil baffle and housing of oil separator. Oil separating element is made in form of inclined slots relative to lower part of oil separator housing, and on valve over and oil guard in form of flat plate is installed. Lower part of housing of oil separator is made conical, with oil drain hole to feed oil to cylinder head. Cover of oil separator is connected by pipeline with intake branch pipe of turbocompressor installed opposite to direction of air flow forced by turbocompressor.
EFFECT: reduced overall dimensions of engine owing to simplified design of oil separator, improved reliability of crankcase ventilation system of internal combustion engine owing to three-stage cleaning of oil-air mixture from oil in oil separator.
