TURBO COMPRESSOR OIL DRAIN CAVITY FORCED VENTILATION SYSTEM Russian patent published in 2025 - IPC F01D25/18 F02C6/12 F02B39/14

Abstract RU 2840248 C1

FIELD: mechanical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to propulsion engineering, particularly to lubrication systems of machines and engines under pressure, and can be used for forced ventilation of oil-draining chamber of turbo compressor installed on diesel internal combustion engines (ICE). Forced ventilation system of oil drain cavity of turbo compressor consists of housing of turbo compressor, housing of bearings with oil supply channels, rotor, on shaft of which there are bearings, oil drain cavity, oil drain tube. In the oil drain cavity of the turbocharger, an angle piece is installed, on which an oil separator is fixed, and a valve and a tube connected to the inlet of the turbocharger are connected thereto, serving to ensure that excess vacuum from the turbocharger inlet pipe is not transmitted to the oil drain cavity, at high vacuum the valve rises, thereby reducing the valve passage and reducing the vacuum, crankcase gases before entering the valve, and then into the turbocharger inlet pipe, enter the oil separator in order to prevent the oil entrainment from the turbocharger oil drain cavity connected by a channel to the oil pump radiator section.

EFFECT: more efficient ventilation of the turbocharger oil drain cavity, elimination of oil back-up, oil carryover, increased service life of turbocharger seals, increased oil flow through turbocharger bearings and, as a result, increased service life of the turbocharger itself and the internal combustion engine as a whole.
