FIELD: abrasive working processes and tools, namely manufacture of grinding wheels on base of organic binder.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of preliminarily dedusting abrasive grains in 3-4% aqueous solution of alkali and washing grains in flow-through water before mixing abrasive grains with binder; then heating grains up to 450 - 500°C, soaking for 10 - 20 min and cooling them in air till temperature of technological mixing process. After mixing abrasive grains with binder, molding mixture is pressed, heated and subjected to wetting in liquid bakelite. Then tool is cooled.
EFFECT: enhanced strength characteristics of abrasive grains, improved wetting of them with liquid bakelite, uniform mixing with binder and therefore improved cutting capability and strength of tool.
