FIELD: propellers for surface and submarine vessels.
SUBSTANCE: proposed propeller with steering nozzle has axisymmetrical flat blades mounted on hub; one surface of these blades is working; blades are located in pipe-shaped circular cavity at clearance between blade tips and inner wall of steering nozzle. Tips of blades are bent at angle α which ensures parallelism of inner surface of steering nozzle and surfaces of bent tips, thus forming clearance δ from 1% to 22% of propeller diameter D between these surfaces. Height h of bent tip of each blade relative to its working surface ranges from 0.1% to 11% of propeller diameter and radius R of bending of each tip ranges from 25% to 100% of height of bent tip of blade.
EFFECT: reduction of power requirements of propeller for motion of watercraft.
