FIELD: production of oriented thermoplastic elastomer films.
SUBSTANCE: proposed oriented thermoplastic elastomer film is characterized by low gas permeability, enhanced fatigue strength and magnitude of planar double refraction of 0.002 and more. Mixture of halogenated isobutylene elastomer and zinc oxide is subjected to granulation, after which mixture of granulated halogenated isobutylene elastomer and polyamide with standard additives for general-purpose rubbers is dynamically vulcanized and then film is produced by casting or extrusion at inflation. This film may be used for manufacture of pneumatic tires.
EFFECT: enhanced fatigue strength; low gas permeability.
