FIELD: oil and gas production.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to reduced-density water-based drilling fluids for drilling and completing wells. Drilling fluid composition according to invention contains, wt %: microbial xanthane biopolymer 0.5-2.0, modified starch 0.2-2.5, lignosulfonate reagent 0.2-1.5, sodium carbonate 0-0.4, calcium oxide 0-0.2, magnesium oxide 0-0.2, potassium chloride 0-5.0, protein hydrolyzate (calculated as solids) 0.1-1.0, biocide 0-0.1, and water - the rest. Composition is used to prepare drilling fluid containing high-stability microbubble gaseous colloidal inclusions (aphronics) providing trouble-free making and completion of wells without loss and absorption of drilling fluid while simultaneously preserving reservoir properties of drilled productive horizons.
EFFECT: achieved creation of effective, accessible, economically profitable and environmentally friendly drilling fluid composition.
