FIELD: mechanical engineering; vibration insulation of technological equipment, machines and tools.
SUBSTANCE: proposed rope-type vibration insulator includes elastic member made from lengths of steel wire rope, upper and lower bearing plates with fasteners for securing the steel wire ropes which have bow-shaped form; they are laid to the left and to the right along length of upper and lower bearing plates where ends of wire ropes are secured by means of strips. Bows of steel wire ropes overlap each other forming loop inside which spoke made from friction material is located in parallel relative to bearing plates. Longitudinal grooves may be made in upper and lower bearing plates and in strips for press-fitting the ends of wire ropes; threaded holes may be also provided for securing the rope ends; elastic members made from elastomer may be also secured at definite pitch.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of vibration insulation in resonance mode; simplified construction; facilitated mounting procedure.
