FIELD: towers, masts, poles and similar structures, methods of erecting such structures.
SUBSTANCE: tower structure is made as three-dimensional truss, which comprises figured belts spaced a distance one from another and connected with each other through grid members so that closed transversal profile is created. Each figured belt has faces made of solid metal sheet curved in transversal plane for the full tower structure height to impart predetermined shape to central surface and bent surfaces extending therefrom at obtuse angles. The central surface is made as two isosceles triangles or rectangles or trapezes. The bent surfaces define stiffening ribs of the belt and have predetermined shapes. Above belt surface planes are inclined to vertical three-dimensional truss axis. Grid members are fixedly secured to extreme stiffening ribs of adjacent belts. Grid members and stiffening ribs are in single plane with each side face of three-dimensional truss. Stiffening ribs of adjacent belts are parallel to each other. Ends of grid members in adjacent side truss faces are fastened to common joints of truss belts. Each profiled belt has hexahedral base and define six planes. The first two planes are inclined one to another along the full tower structure height and define central surface. Two other side surfaces adjacent to central surface are connected to two sides thereof and extend at obtuse angles to adjacent central surface plane. Two extreme surfaces adjoining side ones are at obtuse angle to side surfaces.
EFFECT: increased strength of three-dimensional truss taking bending moments without increase of metal sheet thickness used for belt forming and without truss base widening.
