FIELD: manufacture of working tools, mainly built-up broaches or draw plates, namely production of tool working members in the form of surfaced wear resistant tool material.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of forming on supporting part of working member shaped groove with variable depth whose profile corresponds to line of main stresses occurring at operation by means of such tool; forming on surface of shaped groove regular micro-relief with recesses whose profile provides creation of additional pattern of stress distribution. Profile of said recesses may be equivalent to said profile of grooves or may differ from it. Tool wear resistant material surfaced onto groove surface provides increased contact surface area of supporting part and wear resistant material and lowered normal and shifting loads along boundary of joining said supporting part and wear resistant material and increases joint strength.
EFFECT: improved strength of working tool.
