FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, particularly, to production of tools. It can be used in drawing of metals with the help of drawing straining elements. Proposed process comprises application of regular micro relief on taper lead, inverse cone and cylindrical tape such that it is crossed by the grooves of connection lines of said taper lead, inverse cone and cylindrical tape. Then, applied is wear-proof coating in depth smaller than that of regular micro relief channels for retention of lubricant on tool surface. Prior to applying said wear-proof coating, regular micro relief profile is smoothed by honing in radius RC ≥ hC/0.31, where RC is smoothing radius, hC is regular micro relief depth. Note here that protective servo-witte film is produced on drawing straining element from soft antifriction metals. Drawing straining element is based on wear-proof zirconium alloy.

EFFECT: strong adhesion of wear-proof coating with main material fro zirconium alloy, 1,5-3 times higher wear resistance of drawing surfaces.
