FIELD: pipeline construction.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises punching at least one layer of plastic with the pipe to be sealed and affecting the plastic and/or the pipe to be sealed by ultrasonic vibration. The amplitude of the vibration ranges from 60 to 2 μm and varies smoothly or abruptly from maximum values to minimum ones. The ultrasonic waves propagate along the axis of the pipe. The antinode of the ultrasonic wave is located at the face that punches the plastic.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability.
