FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: simultaneously there are performed forming of hollow casing from band, filling casing with powder material and inserting wire into its cavity. Oscillations of ultrasonic frequency are transmitted to wire; by means of screwing the wire is shaped into a spring. Projections with height exceeding diameter of wire are formed on coils of the spring or on wire.
EFFECT: facilitating control of impregnation degree and uniformity of item impregnation at increased diameter.
