FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed plug 12 inserted in socket has first and second pins spaced apart through certain interval; each pin has first and second essentially flexible sections shaped to provide for disengageable contact with socket jacks. Ratio of plug height to length of pin part protruding from plug shroud ranges between 1/3 and 2.4/6.5. This ensures their reliable mechanical connection and disconnection under normal conditions and provides for their disconnection when excessive mechanical force is applied in abnormal direction liable to cause damage to pins. In addition, limited height of plug enables its use for very thin portable electronic devices, such as cellular phones with their cases packed one on top of other.
EFFECT: enlarged functional capabilities of plug.
