FIELD: connection of optical fibers. SUBSTANCE: connector includes plug and socket. Plug has holder and frame. Frame has groove and sliding flap. Socket includes frame and another holder of fiber with protrusion of finger. Protrusion carries groove centering fiber. When plug is inserted end of plug fiber slides into groove centering fiber in finger and comes into contact with face surface of socket fiber. Continued insertion leads to bending of plug fiber to create compressive load. EFFECT: proposal makes it feasible to connect assemblage of pairs of fibers or to connect fiber to active optical device. 20 cl, 9 dwg
