RADIAL SETTLER Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC B01D21/06 

FIELD: devices for separation of suspensions by gravity; cleaning waste water from suspended agents.

SUBSTANCE: proposed radial settler includes cylindrical reservoir with circular passage in its bottom, systems for introducing the water to be treated and receiving the clarified water, device for mechanical removal of sediment including the drive bridge, scrapers, support and column located above circular passage and provided with blade at its end which is received by circular passage. Device for mechanical removal of sediment is provided with two hollow semi-submerged cylinders interconnected together at technological clearance and secured on drive bridge, as well as trusses connecting the scrapers with cylinders. Center of bridge support coincides with reservoir center; column with blade is mounted in truss at area of hanging above circular passage.

EFFECT: considerable reduction of gravity loads on drive bridge, on vertical wall of reservoir, on scrapers and on truss; enhanced stability of drive bridge; simplified construction of settler due to use of detachable joints.
