FIELD: automotive industry.
SUBSTANCE: combined silencer comprises cylindrical housing rigidly connected with the face inlet and outlet branch pipes whose diameter is no less then the diameter of the housing, sound absorber, and cylindrical insert arranged at the axis of the silencer. Each of the ends of the perforated cylindrical insert is provided with the conical deflector. The cylindrical insert is secured to the housing by means of at least two stiffening ribs arranged in the plane perpendicular of the silencer axis. The outer side of the cylindrical insert is perforated, and the sound absorber and sound-transmitting material are mounted inside the insert.
EFFECT: improved silencing.
