FIELD: cryogenic engineering.
SUBSTANCE: cryostat comprises glass Dewar cylindrical vessels for liquid nitrogen and helium. The Dewar vessel for the liquid helium is mounted inside the Dewar vessel for liquid nitrogen provided with the branch pipe. The Dewar vessel for liquid helium is provided with a glass branch pipe in its top section. The glass branch pipe is fused to the outer wall above the top edge of the Dewar vessel for liquid nitrogen. Before filling the cryostat with coolants, the space between the walls of the Dewar vessel for liquid helium is evacuated.
EFFECT: reduced heat loss.
