FIELD: railway transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to section with intensive traffic. According to proposed method, section is divided into block sections equipped with track circuits and/or axle counters to control non-occupancy of track limited by track light signals, and track light signals are operated depending on number of non-occupied block sections ahead and use is made of devices to reveal failures. Counters of axles are installed at boundaries of section which control non-occupancy of section, and stations limiting the section are equipped by semiautomatic interlocks and danger signal switch-on devices on pass through track light signals to stop noncontrolled train. In case of false occupation of one of several block sections, change of direction is provided by readings of axle counters which control the section, and in case of closing of automatic interlock at failure, semiautomatic interlocks are used.
EFFECT: improved safety of traffic.
