FIELD: electrical engineering; devices mainly used for on-load voltage regulation in electrical networks.
SUBSTANCE: proposed transformer has magnetic circuit with air gap accommodating sealed chamber divided into two spaces by means of diamagnetic piston. Bottom space is filled with magnetic liquid. Top space communicates through flexible air hose with controlled-pressure air source whose electric control signal is difference between load (supply) voltage and desired voltage level. Bottom part of magnetic liquid chamber communicates through flexible water hose with separate tank designed for receiving and delivering magnetic liquid. Voltage across secondary winding is varied by varying magnetic liquid level.
EFFECT: facilitated control of voltage across load or supply mains.
