FIELD: electronic engineering, quantum electronics, lasers, and methods for shaping high-energy laser radiation fluxed at long distance from laser.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device has coaxially disposed hollow cylindrical active element, pumping system, maximal reflector, and partial reflector; end surface of active element on partial-reflector side is made in the form of truncated-cone surface whose generating line and main optical axis of laser device form angle α. Reflector is essentially body of revolution enclosed by two outer conical surfaces. Generating line of other conical surface of partial reflector and main optical axis of laser device form angle β. Method for controlling radiation flux includes excitation of laser active element and adjustment of laser radiation flux sectional diameter.
EFFECT: enhanced power of laser radiation flux and energy density in sectional area, reduced angular divergence.
