METHOD FOR CHECKING CIRCUIT BREAKERS OF RING-CIRCUIT SECTIONALIZED LINE FOR SUCCESSFUL AND UNSUCCESSFUL AUTOMATIC RECLOSURE Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC H02J13/00

Abstract RU 2305356 C1

FIELD: automatic control of electric circuits.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method involves recording of inrush short-circuit current and readout of time equal to protective gear operating time of each circuit breaker installed in sectionalized line from moment of its occurrence at origin of ring-circuit sectionalized line; in the process moment of inrush short-circuit current disconnection is checked and if moment of protective-gear operating time readout termination in one of circuit breakers coincides with moment of inrush short-circuit current disconnection time, open circuit breaker is detected and then reading of time equal to automatic reclosure delay of open circuit breaker is started from moment of disconnection of first short-circuit inrush current; occurrence of second inrush current is checked in the process and if it is found higher than normal operating current but lower than short-circuit current at moment of automatic reclosure delay readout termination, fact of successful automatic reclosure of disconnected circuit breaker installed in ring-circuit sectionalized line is stated; if it is higher than or equal to short-circuit current, fact of automatic reclosure failure in open circuit breaker installed in ring-circuit sectionalized line is stated.

EFFECT: enlarged functional capabilities.
