FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: when short circuit current surge appears in line of the main power supply, count of total time equal to the following is started: protection actuation time, automatic reclosure holding time, protection actuation time with acceleration of sectionalising circuit breaker of line of the main power supply and holding time of actuation of automatic load transfer network station. At that, when total time elapses, occurrence of short-circuit current surge is controlled in line of standby power supply, and if the above moment coincides with moment of occurrence of short circuit current surge in line of standby power supply, the simultaneous count of two time intervals is started; at that, the first time interval is equal to protection actuation time with acceleration of circuit breaker of network station of automatic load transfer, and the second time interval is equal to protection actuation holding time of sectionalising circuit breaker of line of standby power supply, and then, if short circuit current does not disappear at the end moment of the first time interval, and short circuit current disappears at the end moment of the second time interval, the conclusion is made on failure of deactivation of circuit breaker of network station of automatic load transfer, and inhibit for automatic reclosure of sectionalising circuit breaker of standby line is introduced.

EFFECT: enlarging application area and functional capabilities of the method by introducing automatic reclosure inhibit for sectionalising circuit breaker which has been deactivated at failure of circuit breaker of automatic load transfer station which was activated for stable short circuit in ring network powered from buses of two-transformer substation.
