FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to diesel engines, particularly, to nozzles with direct injection of fuel. Proposed spray tip has needle valve installed in body guide, forming with guide a precision pair and provided with shutoff cone on end face mating with conical seat made on inner surface of body. Closed grooves made in body guide are arranged square to direction of movement of needle valve. Grooves are made by in-feed diamond electrochemical grinding.

EFFECT: reduced leakage of fuel at any injection pressures, increased service life of spray tip, reduced labor input at manufacture and assembling.
