HYDRAULIC TURBINE Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC F03B3/00

Abstract RU 2306452 C2

FIELD: hydraulic power engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for converting energy of small water flows with low flow rates and heads into electric energy. Proposed hydraulic turbine has spiral case rigidly connected with two ring belts of stator between which vanes of guide assembly are installed, wheel arranged in case and rigidly connected with shaft, water supply and water outlet parts each vane of guide assembly is made in form of bent flat plate with angle between bent parts being 160-170° and ratio of length of one part of plate to length other part pointed to side of wheel is 1/1.5 - 1/2.0. Each vane is rigidly secured by sides on ring belts of stator, one part of flat plate being attached at angle of 40-45° to tangential line of outer diameter of ring belts of stator, and other, pointed to side of wheel, at angle equal to 10-20° to tangential line of inner diameter of ring belts of stator. Vanes are turned in direction of rotation of wheel, and number of vanes of guide assembly is chosen with due account of the fact that distance between two adjacent vanes is 0.2-0.3 m and width of each ring belt of stator is 0.1-0.2 outer diameter of wheel. Used as wheel is impeller of centrifugal pump rigidly installed on shaft arranged horizontally relative to plane of rotation of wheel and mounted in supports by means of bearing units. Said supports are rigidly connected with two discharge pipes of bent form connected by some ends to opposite sides of wheel case and by others, to water outlet part. Shaft can be connected by means of reduction unit with induction motor coupled with automatic control system including switching and measuring equipment unit with connected gangs of field capacitors, thyristor converters, useful load and regulating, control and protection unit connected with thyristor converter unit to which ballast load and field capacitor units are connected.

EFFECT: reduced labor input in manufacture and simplified design at preservation of high efficiency.
