FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed hydroelectric power station incorporates power dam and station with streamwise two-way pressure and tailrace conduits and power generating units. Every of the aforesaid units comprises an electric generator, a vertical pressure turbine wheel with the blades, guide case with the vanes, and suck-off pipe with a 3-D cam and funnel. The support-and-guide grid vanes are arranged at the funnel end. The proposed hydroelectric power station incorporates also the pressure and tailrace conduit guide columns. The station comprises equalizing channels. Note that the walls of every turbine chamber central part represent two-turn centrally symmetricx logarithmic helices mating their locations, while the outlet diffuser-to-funnel conjugation sections are constructed along the evolvents of the funnel outlet section circumference. The proposed invention allows increasing the hydroelectric power station usable flow rate, mean operation efficiency, as well as improving the hydraulic unit vibration-acoustic features.
EFFECT: higher power output, longer life of hydraulic units.
