FIELD: metallurgy, possibly production of steels used for making automobiles.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of melting steel containing next relation of components, mass%: carbon, 0.002 - 0.015; silicon, 0.005 - 0.050; manganese, 0.05 -0.50; phosphorus, 0.005 - 0.09; sulfur, 0.003 - 0.020; copper, 0.1 - 0.6; aluminum, 0.02 - 0.07; nitrogen, 0.002 - 0.007; titanium, 0.0005 - 0.040; niobium, no more than 0.060; iron and impurities at satisfying next conditions: Cef = [C] - CTi - CNb > 0.0006% where Cef - effective content of carbon non-fixed by titanium or niobium; [C]- total content of carbon in steel; CTi -content of carbon fixed by titanium: at relation of titanium content [Ti] to niobium content[Ni] [Ti]/[Ni]< 3.43 CTi =0, at relation [Ti]/[Ni] ≥ 3.43 CTi = ([Ti] -3.43N)/4; CNb - content of carbon fixed by niobium CNb =Nb/7.74; Cef + 0.05 [P]≥0.003% where [P] -content of phosphorus in steel; casting steel; subjecting it to hot rolling and coiling; after coiling subjecting steel, if necessary to etching and(or)to skin pass rolling.
EFFECT: improved quality of coiled steel for cold forming.
