STABILIZING RESERVOIR FOR SEPARATION PLANT Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC E21B43/34

Abstract RU 2307245 C1

FIELD: oil production equipment, particularly separation plants used in pressure oil gathering and conditioning systems.

SUBSTANCE: stabilizing reservoir (or end phase separator) of separation plant is adapted for prior oil-and-water mix separation into phases. Reservoir comprises well product delivery pipeline provided with water discharge nipple. Well product delivery pipeline is at least partly formed of serially connected gas-separation and oil-water emulsion separation sections and may expand. Gas line is created along upper generatrix of oil product delivery pipeline so that the gas line starts from gas-separation section. The gas line is connected with upper part of well product delivery pipeline through vertical gas nipples and is located over upper liquid level in well product delivery pipeline. Water discharge pipeline is located in bottom part thereof. Well product delivery pipeline expands so that oil-water emulsion and gas phase flow in laminar regime. Well product delivery nipple outlet is communicated with oil-accumulation zone of separation plant. Water discharge nipple is arranged in oil-water emulsion separation section and is connected with water-accumulation zone of separation plant. Well product delivery pipeline is provided with screen for full or partial well product delivery pipeline section closing at water-discharge nipple. The screen is located over water-discharge nipple inlet.

EFFECT: increased efficiency, decreased length and increased separation quality.
