FIELD: mechanical engineering; gear pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to external gear pumps. Proposed gear pump has pump housing made of self-lubricating material with channels to supply and release handled product and gear mechanism with housing and upper cover connected with pump and driving gear installed on drive shaft passed through hole in housing, and driven gear installed on axle, and lower support plate. Sealing unit of drive shaft is fitted between pump housing and upper cover. Sealing unit is essentially cylindrical projection on shaft between which and upper cover of gear mechanism sealing compensating washer is installed. Multiple layer coating, thickness from 20 to 80 mcm, is applied to surface of driven shaft starting from sealing cylindrical projection to end face of shaft arranged in lower support plate, and on surface of axle.
EFFECT: reduced rate of wearing of drive shaft and increased longevity of gear pump.
