FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: PD pump (1) contains a housing with a central body (2) and two covers (20). The body (2) is provided with two communicating cylindrical chambers (22, 23), one suction pipe (I) and one outlet pipe (O). The pump (1) also contains two rotors (3, 4) installed in the chambers (22, 23) on the shafts (5, 6) installed in the covers (20). Both rotors contain a drive rotor (3) with protuberances (30) and a driven rotor (4) with cavities (40). Each protuberance (30) in cross section contains two involute surfaces (31, 32) converging into a rounded head (33). The surfaces (31, 32) are symmetrically disposed relative to the radial axis of symmetry passing through the head (33). Each cavity (40) in cross section comprises of two involute surfaces (41, 42) connected in a lower surface (43) with a concave profile. The profiles of both surfaces (41, 42) of the cavity are disposed asymmetrically with respect to the radial straight line passing through the lower surface of the cavity. The involute profile of the inlet surface (41) has a higher curvature than the involute profile of the outlet surface (42) of the cavity.
EFFECT: creation of a pump capable of preventing the encapsulation of a liquid or gaseous medium.
