FIELD: liquefying gases.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises cooling gas in series at least in two zones of heat exchange for liquefying in which gas flow is cooled by means of evaporating coolants. The coolant is in part evaporated in the coolest zone of the heat exchange to produce a partially evaporated coolant. The partially evaporated coolant is circulated to provided additional evaporation of the partially evaporated coolant in the zone of additional heat exchange at temperatures that exceed the highest temperature in the coldest zone of heat exchange, compression of the additionally evaporated coolant, and cooling the flow of compressed coolant to produce the coldest coolant. The flow of the compressed coolant is cooled by means additional indirect heat exchange with the additionally evaporating of the partially evaporated coolant.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency.
