METHOD OF CONTROL OF FLYING VEHICLES IN HEADING BY MEANS OF TWO-POSITION RADAR SYSTEM Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC G08G9/00

FIELD: flying vehicle control technique; guidance on radio-radiating air targets with the aid of two-position radar systems.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method ensures guidance of one flying vehicle on target for destruction and forms favorable conditions for another flying vehicle for radar observation of target. Target azimuth, angular velocities of target sight lines, rectangular coordinates of target and distance between target and flying vehicle are estimated on basis of measurements of target bearings, rectangular coordinates of flying vehicles, their speed and headings. Striking flying vehicle is selected and its guidance is performed by any known method. Then, rectangular coordinates and rates of their change of best point of observation are found; parameter of control of information support flying vehicle is formed in accordance with direct method of guidance at shift on terminal approach leg; information support flying vehicle is additionally turned for smooth obtaining of target-best point of observation line and flying speed is reduced to rate of motion of best point of observation.

EFFECT: reduction of flying vehicle trajectory curvature and smooth arrival at preset point for better radar observation of target; elimination of limitation for tactical situations.
