FIELD: aircraft industry and rocketry.
SUBSTANCE: pumping unit contains at least two pumps with adjustable electric drives. Each pump has power rating lower than that required for engine. Pumps are coupled with pickup determining pump flow rate Electric drives and pickups are connected with control unit connected with pickup determining fuel delivery to engine. In process of normal operation, pumps, by command from control unit, supply fuel to engine simultaneously at nominal power approximately equal to 50% of power required by engine. At failure of one of pumps, the other, by signal from electronic governor, basing on readings of pickups, starts delivery of fuel at forced mode, i.e. in amount required for engine.
EFFECT: provision of faultless operation of system using pumping unit of small mass and overall dimensions.
