SUBSTANCE: the tower base is made for installation and fixation on the body of the base chassis, the side walls of the movable commander's cupola race ring are made integral with its horizontal monolithic roof with a recess for the infra-red lamp made in the front part of its for provision of the minimum possible height dimension of the cupola at its installation. The bottom part of the recess is positioned at the level of the cupola base, and the transition of the recess side walls to the bottom part is made on a concave surface. the infra-red lamp is installed in the recess with a minimum clearance for provision of its rocking within the operating angles. The hollow tie-rod is U-shaped, its longitudinal branches are connected as follows: one-to the hinge of the combination vision device, the other-to the hinge of the infra-red lamp.

EFFECT: reduced overall dimensions of the vehicle at a high level of armour protection.
