COMBINED DISK-HOE SHANK Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC A01C7/20 

FIELD: agricultural engineering.

SUBSTANCE: shank has casing with unit for attachment to carrier, flat disk and seed-and-fertilizer guide. Disk has shaft rigidly fixed to casing. Shank is further provided with flat single-sided cultivator hoe attached with its tine to casing at an angle of opening of blade to direction of advancement, front edge of tine tangentially contacting with disk surface. Tubular receiver of seed distributor is connected to lower end of seed-and-fertilizer guide to join said distributor with flat hoe space under hoe. Tubular receiver inclined toward flat hoe is made curved-concave in its mid portion. Internal side wall of receiver extends up to rear end edge of flat hoe to gradually narrow lengthwise and incline rearward in longitudinal and transverse directions so as to define grain board and distributing surface over the entire width. Front edge of grain board and distributing surface is bent radially and upward to place of joining with upper overlap of hoe. Shank of such construction allows wide or drill-free broadcast sowing of farm crops to be provided with optimized area of feeding for each seed and simultaneously surface mellowing of soil combined with undercutting of weedage within tool spacing to be performed.
