FIELD: aeronautical and space engineering; development of non-expendable transport facilities for various payloads in atmosphere and in adjacent space.
SUBSTANCE: proposed missile carrier has load-bearing body, rocket engines and air wings. Rocket engines are partially located in aft section and partially are spaced apart along body axis. Engine combustion chambers are brought out to side outer surfaces of body for forming the thrust for forward horizontal motion. Mounted behind combustion chambers in way of gas flow from engines are aerodynamic lattice slotted modules forming the lifting force under action of gas flow and incoming air flow which exceeds mass of missile carrier. Missile carrier is provided with system for preventing it from forward motion before lifting to prelaunch altitude. Folding wing or single-piece wing secured on body is used for gliding; all-moving aerodynamic wings located in nose and aft sections of body are used for altitude control. Two or more missile carriers may be formed in cluster. Missile carrier body may be provided with aircraft engines for flights in atmosphere as well as with self-defense systems and self-guided aids.
EFFECT: reduced vulnerability; low cost; enhanced mobility of missile carrier launch; enhanced reliability of delivery of payload; extended range of technical means.
