FIELD: space-rocket equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the field of space-rocket equipment and relates to aerodynamic configurations and ways of returning of the reusable missile and aircraft units (RMAU) to the spaceport. These units act as rocket boosters forming the first step of the mother missile (MM) while coupling its bodies (1) with the second step (18) of the MM. The housing (1) of the RMAU has a typical tandem configuration of the tanks and the liquid fuel sustainers (LFS). The unswept wing with folded lips in the start configuration is situated along the housing (1). After the RMAU has been separated from the second step (18), this wing rotates to the working position athwart the housing roll axis. The tail group protrudes to the working position from the tapered module (17) that is opposite to the LFS module. The outstanding nozzles of the liquid fuel sustainer are covered with the cowling that consists of movable protection flaps (3). Thus transformation of the RMAU into a sailplane is completed. Its flight to the landing aerodrome (with the LFS module at the front) is performed with the help of the sliding (14) (or dismountable) air-breathing engines.
EFFECT: increase of the payload weight part in the initial mass of the MM and reduction of resource consumption when the RMAU returns to the spaceport.
