FIELD: forgery protection for products of mass serial production.
SUBSTANCE: in accordance to the invention, identification system administrator manufactures and provides a set number of identification marks to manufacturer. Each mark includes a set of symbols, consisting of serial number of mark, open for reading, and identification combination, closed from visual perception by protective means. Manufacturer reports description information to administrator concerning objects marked with marks, stored in manufacturer database. The person, performing identification, opens protective means and by means of communication means sends a request to administrator which contains serial number and identification combination. The administrator finds identification combination in database on basis of serial number and compares it to identification combination contained in request. In case of match, administrator sends description of object to the person performing identification, on basis of which decision about authenticity of object is made.
EFFECT: increased degree of forgery protection of products, faster search for information on object being identified in database and simplification of method due to transmission of information through open information channels.
