FIELD: medicine, laboratory diagnosis, analytical chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for semi-quantitative determination of phosphate ion in daily urine. Method involves sampling 0.3 ml of urine, its dilution with distilled water to 1.2 ml, and the content of phosphate ions is analyzed by precipitation reaction with 0.02 ml of 0.4 N ferric (III) chloride solution followed by estimation of the sample results. Visualization of precipitate proves the presence of phosphate ions in urine in the norm limits, and the absence of precipitate proves the presence of phosphate ions in urine less the normal value. Method is simple, it doesn't require equipment and preparing a sample and allows carrying out express-diagnosis of states associated with reducing phosphate excretion in field conditions.
EFFECT: improved method of analysis.
